March 5, 2021

 In math we were busy solving complete and incomplete division word problems as well as creating our own problems starting from a division sentence. 

Using the information provided by the solar panels installed on our school roof, we conducted an investigation regarding the impact of the weather on the electricity production.

By creating a timeline, the students have learned about the significant events that followed after the discovery of oil in Turner Valley, which impacted the Albertans' life quality as well as the environment.

In writing, the students immersed themselves in the Indigenous culture by reading several stories and reflecting in writing on the lessons learned.

By using pictographs, like the ones that can be found at Written On Stone Provincial Park, the students created stories and used their oral language to share them with their peers.

A reminder about Parent Teacher Conferences:

The March School Conferences will take place on Thursday, March 11, from 4:00pm – 7:30pm.  Friday, March 12, from 8:00am – 1:00pm.  The conferences will be virtual again.
