In writing the students have added their ideas to pre-made paragraphs on diverse topics, shared their thoughts with their peers and received feedback to improve the quality of their writing.
In math we continued to deepen the understandings of multiplication by solving one or multi step(s) word  problems. 
In science we learned about renewable and non renewable sources of energy used to produce electricity, and also, their advantages and disadvantages.
On Monday we will have a workshop led by Inside Education about Electricity and Energy.
In the following two weeks, with the funds provided by Emerald Foundation Grant, we will expand our understandings about Blackfoot Culture by using a museokit from Glenbow Museum.
In art the students explored Canadian landscape through the work of the painter Ted Harrison.
Students are encourage to read for 20 minutes each day and to attend to the daily math homework.

In writing we learned about paragraphs' structure by reading, discussing and analyzing different exemplars. 
In math we have connected skip counting and repeated addition to multiplication while solving diverse problems.
In science we started to learn about electricity and magnetism. In this context, on January 27th, we will have a workshop led by Inside Education about Electricity and Energy.
In Social Studies the students learned about different regions of Alberta. With the funds provided by Emerald Foundation Grant, we will be able to rent for a period of 2 weeks (January 27 to February 7, 2020) a Blackfoot nation museo kit to allow for hands on learning activities.
Students are encourage to read for 20 minutes each day and to attend to the daily math homework.
