In writing the students have used laptops to type their articles about their learning at Cappy Smart Elementary. They have taken the perspective of journalists by interviewing people and recording facts about different parts of the school.
During the math period the students were busy solving and creating word problems involving division concepts.
During the science the students learned about electrical circuits (SNAP Circuits) and ways to save electrical energy.
Playing badminton during the PE time, was one of the students favorite part of the day.
We acknowledged the anti bullying day -Pink Shirt Day.
A reminder about encouraging the students to read 20 minutes each day and to solve the math problems sent home daily.

We were very fortunate to have Elder Shirley Hill to work with our students on diverse topic related with the Indigenous way of knowing. We would like to say a big thank you to our School Council, and A + for Energy Grant for the funding this learning opportunity.

In science, we have learned about electric circuits and electricity applications in our daily lives.
Please encourage your kids to read for 20 minutes per day and to attend to the daily math problem that is being sent home.
